GEM, Vale to Construct $1.4 Billion Nickel Plant in Indonesia

On November 10th, Gelonhui announced that on November 10, 2024, Gem Co., Ltd. (002340.SZ) and PT Vale Indonesia Tbk (referred to as 'PTVI' or 'vale sa Indonesia') jointly signed a project investment cooperation framework agreement in Indonesia under the witness of the Indonesian President The two parties will jointly build a nickel resource high-pressure acid leaching green smelting plant ('HPAL plant') and its supporting infrastructure in Central Sulawesi Province, Indonesia, with zero carbon, intelligent, and good ESG standards as the design concept, using ore from a mining area of PTVI in the future.
