Nippon Steel plans to meet with union representatives to seek their support for the acquisition of united states steel.
On November 15, Glonghui reported that Takahiro Mori, Executive Vice President of Nippon Steel, will meet with the union representatives of the United States Steel Pittsburgh factory next week in Pittsburgh, USA, in an effort to persuade them to support Nippon Steel's plan to acquire United States Steel, stating that the acquisition will benefit the workers. Jason Zugai, Vice President of Local 2227 of the United Steelworkers, revealed that he received an email from Takahiro Mori, who hopes to hold a meeting next week with representatives of the United States Steelworkers union.
