China Rare Earth Holdings Co., Ltd. (formerly Yixing Xinwei Holdings Co., Ltd.) is one of the largest producers of rare earths and refractories in the country. The Group was listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange on October 15, 1999. It is the first privately owned manufacturer of rare earths and refractories in China to be listed overseas. The Group's business began in 1987 in Yixing City, Jiangsu Province, China. It developed from a rare earth separation plant into an internationally renowned manufacturer of rare earths and refractories today, and was issued an ISO9002 standard certification in January 1999. Currently, the Group's production capacity for rare earths and refractories has reached 6,500 tons (REO) and 100,000 tons respectively. Currently, rare earth products are mainly exported to the United States, Japan, Europe and South Korea, while refractory materials are mainly sold domestically and exported to Japan.
