Japan's largest steel manufacturer Nippon Steel announced on Thursday that it has lowered its full-year net income forecast for the fiscal year ending in March from the previous estimate of 340 billion yen to 310 billion yen (2 billion dollars). The fourth largest steel producer in the world, Nippon Steel, reported a net income for the six months of 234.4 billion yen, a 19% decrease from the same period last year. Nippon Steel stated that the acquisition of United States Steel is expected to be completed in December.
